Janet May
Janet May is the Stroke and Pulsara Coordinator at Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) in regional Victoria, a position she has held since 2017. A Registered Nurse with 28 years of clinical experience across Australia and internationally, she holds a Master of Health and a Graduate Diploma with Merit in Critical Care Trauma and Emergency Nursing.
With a strong foundation in emergency nursing and stroke care, Janet is passionate about improving stroke outcomes in regional areas. Having worked in both metropolitan and regional health services, she is committed to bridging the gap in stroke care access and delivery between the two. She is dedicated to streamlining stroke care delivery—from early pre-hospital notification using digital communication platforms to refining Stroke Code protocols and optimising inpatient and post-acute care. Her work is driven by a commitment to delivering timely, coordinated care that provides better outcomes for all patients.
