Sexuality is part of holistic post-stroke care, yet it often remains a silent topic. This introductory skills workshop will help you feel more confident and prepared to initiate crucial conversations about sexuality and intimacy, in a respectful and person-centred manner.
Learning outcomes: The workshop will enhance your understanding of the practical skills required to be a ‘Trained Communication Partner’.
This foundation workshop provides a theoretical outline of Communication Partner Training and will outline the principles of communication partner training.
It will provide helpful resources to enable access to more complete training and challenge you to think more deeply about how you interact with people with communication challenges.
